Projects

Create a project

A project is delivery for one client company. Create it from Projects, or from the company page.

  1. Turn Projects on in the module store.
  2. Open Projects (or a client company, then jump to its projects). Use the create form: pick the client company, name, start and due dates.
  3. Choose a project owner from the people list (your staff contacts plus that company’s contacts). Optionally pick a client contact.
  4. Write the scope, or pick a scope template (the built-in Delivery template is Discovery through Launch). Add tags, budget, and subcontractors if you already have sub-contractor companies.
  5. Save. You land on the project page. Status starts as Planning until you set it Active.

List, Roadmap, and Gantt are three views of the same projects. Roadmap and Gantt use start/due dates and phases.

The thin bar on each project is progress percent. It updates from the project form, not automatically from tasks.

If a colleague has the same project open, their name appears under Editing this project. That is a hint only — it does not lock the form.
