Projects
Phases, roadmap, and Gantt
Phases are named slices of the plan (Discover, Build, Launch). Tasks sit in a phase. You set how long each phase lasts; that drives the roadmap.
- Headings in the project scope become phases. The first save splits the project start–due window evenly across those phases.
- On the project, under Tasks, set Start and Due on each phase, then Save dates. That is how you lengthen or shorten a phase. If the phases no longer match the project dates, a notice appears; you can set the project dates to match, or saving a phase that runs past the project will ask to update the project first.
- Each task has its own start and due. They must stay inside the phase. New tasks default to the whole phase; change a task’s start if it should begin later (for example after another task). The Gantt uses those dates, not the phase start for every bar.
- If you shrink a phase, task start and due dates that fall outside are moved into the new window.
- Open Projects → Roadmap to see phase bars. Open Gantt for tasks. Saving the scope again adds new headings as phases; it does not reset dates you already set.
